The principal of a Christian school in Tennessee who was arrested last year on sex crime charges now faces 11 additional charges related to alleged sex crimes against other minors.

Liberty Christian Academy principal Jason Kennedy, 47, was charged in August with sexual assault by an authority figure and solicitation of a minor in connection to his alleged sexual activity with an underage girl, according to Cincinnati CBS affiliate WKRC.

Kennedy was arrested again last week on an additional four counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child, one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of solicitation of a minor to observe sexual conduct, according to jail records reviewed by Oxygen.com. He is currently being held in lieu of a $400,000 bond.

These most recent charges stem from alleged interactions with three additional minors, District Attorney Stephen Crump told FOX Chattanooga on Friday, bringing the total number of alleged victims to four.

School secretary and homeschool coordinator Brittney Branham, 28, was also charged with solicitation of a minor in the initial case, according to NBC affiliate WBIR and The New York Post. It is unclear whether she will face charges in accordance with the new accusations.

Kennedy’s initial accuser is currently 19 years old, but was underage at the time of the alleged incidents at Kennedy’s home in Athens, Tennessee beginning in 2019.

Kennedy, his wife and Branham were allegedly living together in the home, and had the teen spend the night in the same room as Branham, according to McMinn County Sheriff’s Department affidavits. The victim said Kennedy would regularly come into Branham's bedroom and talk with her and Branham about sex.

The victim also said that Branham urged her to let touch Kennedy touch her intimate areas, but not to tell anyone. She also alleged that Kennedy and Branham bought her a “black and white skimpy nightgown” in August 2020, and that Kennedy later came in and touched her breast while she was staying in Branham’s room.

In another alleged 2021 incident, the victim told police that Kennedy came in to talk to her and Branham about sex, after which he and Branham engaged in sexual activity and urged her to join them. After they finished, the victim recalled, they acted “like nothing had happened” and began “talking like normal,” according to the affidavit.

After their arrests in August 2022, Kennedy and Branham posted bonds of $60,000 and $15,000, respectively, and were released, WBIR reported.

The additional alleged victims were discovered by a probe into the school by the McMinn County Sheriff's Department, according to Sheriff Joe Guy.

A secretary at the school told Oxygen.com Monday that Kennedy was not currently in the building and did not confirm whether he or Branham were still employed there.
